Hi folks,
Today we talked in more detail about weathering, erosion and what the difference is between each of them. We also did a lab where the students had to use a rock identification key to get as close as possible to finding what kind of a rock they had.
Homework for this week is to use the enclosed rock key and try to identify five different rocks in or around your house. You may not be able to identify the exact type but I would like you to try to identify whether it is igneous, metamorphic or sedentary. If possible, it would be great if you could bring your rock samples to class next week to share the different kinds.
