12/16 Earth Science update and homework due 1/7

Hi folks,

Today we continued our exploration of energy by taking a look at how energy moves through living things. We discussed the food chain and the food webs today.

Homework for 1/7 is to:

Eat lunch….but that's not all:
1. Do your best to look up the Calories in the lunch you just ate. Including the drink and any sides. Add up the total of all the food calories.

2. Find out how much of your favorite exercise you would have to do to burn off all the Calories of the lunch you just ate.

3. Using the stuff from your lunch, create three possible food chains. For example, if you ate a fish sandwich the food chain could be
Sun—>water plants—> minnow—> trout—>you

4. Create a food web with at least eight different things in it that includes at least one thing from your lunch.

5. Have a wonderful break and a joyous set of holidays!
