Hi folks,
Today we made yet another weather instrument when we created our homemade barometers. Someone left theirs behind in the class room and I noticed yesterday that it was indeed working. Yesterday was nice and clear which meant the pressure was higher than the day we made the barometers and sure enough, the straw was slanting upwards. I hope you guys are watching your barometers as well.
We also spent some time talking about clouds. We will do more with clouds and humidity next week.
Homework for this week is to take a look at the .pdf I've enclosed in this email.
Do the assignments on pages 3, 4, 6, and 7.
Also please take pictures of at least 5 different types of clouds on, at least, 3 different days. I'm looking for, at least 5 pictures so, for example, you could take 2 pictures on Sunday, 2 on Monday and 1 on Wednesday.
You can print them out or email them to me if you wish. Be sure to label them with the type of cloud that they are and be sure to indicate if it is a high or low pressure day.
