3/17 Earth Science and Homework due 3/24

Hi folks,

The first thing we did today was finish off the Leyden Jars we started last week. I call them "lightning in a cup" and they are great ways to produce small sparks using static electricity. That activity finished off our meteorology unit and we are now moving on to our space unit. We began our space unit with a quick look at the scale of the Moon and it's relationship in space to the Earth. Next week we will take a look at the moon's phases and we will take a look at the relationship between the Earth and the Sun.

Homework for next week is to:
Read pages 666 to 679 in the text book.
Answer questions on page 684 and 685 #'s 1, 9,10,11,12,13,14,15.
Answer questions on page 686 #'s 4,5,6,7,9

Extra Credit!!! I'll give two points of extra credit for 27,28 and 29 on page 685. A possible 6 extra credit points!
